Strength Shop Adjustable Dumbbell

Sturdy, high quality, very stable, they go very heavy, a joy to work out with. No complaints there at all. Big downside: very annoying to load if you need to switch weight ranges. With the short pins, the dumbbells go from 6kg to 36kg or so; if you need to load more weight, you have to completely screw the short pins out of the handles, and screw in the long pins. The long pins have a starting weight of about 34kg, so always using the long pins is not an option. Going from short to long (36-65kg range) takes an easy 5-6 minutes if you are fast. In practice, this means: if you warm up for e.g. RDLs, you will have a major break between your warmup sets before you can go heavy, which really hurts the flow. The weight ranges (= minimum weight for the long pins) should really be documented on the store page. Had I known that, I would have probably gotten regular handles, plates, and collars instead, they load much faster and are quite a bit cheaper. Noteworthy: I reported this to strengthshop, and they immediately offered me my money back if I send the dumbbells back in their original packaging (which I did not do, they feel very nice while training if you can stay in one weight range). Super service. If the annoying load range switch is not an issue to you: 100% recommendation.
