The Prayer Mat - Obsidian

I was expecting a plush mat with a rubber sole. It’s more of a yoga mat materiel with a thin velvet layer on top. That being said, it’s very comfortable, and staying on it for a couple of hours is no issue.

Okay, so a pretty long review but I've experienced such beautiful memories surrounding these prayer mats and wanted to share. Long story short: The mat is great and looks exactly how it's shown. I've had this same mat for over a year now and the plushness has held up amazingly(coming from someone with a weak left knee). Long Story: I originally bought this exact mat, and the red one, for myself and my now husband a year ago. It was a gift mostly for my husband as we had just got married and he had taken his Shahada the week before our Nikkah and I wanted to do something special for him. Needless to say, he loved it and has loved it since. Fast forward to my recent purchase of the obsidian mat. My step dad (who actually took me to my first Mosque and who eventually took me to have my Shahada right out of high school as well) birthday recently passed and I wanted to do something nice for him. He's not a man to show alot of emotion at all, but this mat truly moved him. We dont typically have long conversations, just general check ins, but we've had some of the best discussions about faith and family these last few days and even now he's still sending me text about how he loves his gift. 10/10 I would recommend over and over again!

Beautiful product, exactly as described/pictured and so comfortable. I love the size as well. Makes for a lovely gift as well.
