Gibson Bone Nut (Slotted)

The nut slots were bigger than the treble strings thickness. Without changing the original slots, my G, B and E strings sink into the nut. So the only option I’ve got is to fill the slots in with CA glue and then file the slot which is not at all ideal and likely I’ll have to throw this new nut away. The point of purchasing the pre slotted not is the convinience of not having to completely do a new nut at home. The way it should he is to give you minimal sized slots (shallow and slightly thinner than the high E) and let the customer to widen them up. Not with 6 slots fitted for a 9-42 G string and deep. Time wasted and dissapointing experience
