No maps
I have another TLV Bible I love that has the maps, really wish this one did as well! I bought it for a gift, and my spouse was disappointed. He read the pages at the beginning that mentioned them, then went to look for them all excited to see, and they weren’t there. Love the devotions, but a page or two for the maps also (versus instead of) would be wonderful.

A Sturdy Product
I've owned the paperback TLV version for several years. When the cover finally gave out, I decided to upgrade to the bonded leather version. I LOVE the version, so my review is directed at functionality of this product. 1. I chose the Psalms Devotional product - I did NOT know that the Hebraic Reading Cycle pages would be removed so this could be inserted. This was disappointing to me, not to have the cycle in printed format to access easily. 2. I believe the Psalms commentary could have been formatted in a better way. Space could have been saved by causing these pages to flow together, with headings, instead of one day per page. Doing this would have made room for the Reading Cycle pages mentioned above. 3. I appreciate the different book order, and even the built in tabs that accompany the style of book that it is. Yet, because of the different order, I suggest that drilled tabs be implemented for ease of use for the reader. As it is, for this purchase, I chose to buy self-label tabs so I can get to each book quickly and easily. I don't care for these types of tabs, however, even with daily use, I still found myself struggling to find one book over the other with the thin pages. A drilled tab would be a great feature. 4. A color choice would be great! I value the price point, and know color (as well as drill tabs) add to the final customer cost - yet ... since the other versions offer the beauty of color, this bonded leather version would be an attractive alternative if options were given. 5. I LOVE the double ribbon placeholder!! THANK YOU!!!

Great Commentary and Dimensions
The dimensions of this Bible are super close to the thinline edition so if you are worried about thickness, then no worries. It is absolutely comfortable to hold in one’s hand. Also the gold on the cover will not easily rub off because it is a sort of bonded leather overlaid on a flexible board. Lastly, the commentary on the Psalms are very insightful and well balanced. They include personal testimonies of the commentators that help to relate how a theme in a psalm played out in their lives. The commentary also offers insight into the meaning of the underlying Hebrew. It is a great beginner’s Bible for anyone wanting to start to dive into the liturgical aspect of Messianic Judaism because in Messianic and Orthodox prayerbooks they use the psalms heavily. But many prayerbooks don’t offer commentary or extra explanations on the psalms one is reading/ praying at certain times of the day. So this is a nice addition to one’s prayer routine. I like to read psalms 5 and 30 in the morning and then I go to the back and look for additional insight on these. Overall a great resource to use to enrich prayer life. And the translation does an amazing job on the Scriptures read during a Messianic Synagogue service such as using the term Yom Shabbat in Exodus 20.
