Item received well packaged and in a timely manner (based on my selected shipping method). The clamp is made of quality materials and is well machined. It feels robust, and from personal experience through usage, holds up to more clamping force than you may expect. The spring steel used is good quality and will withstand flexing. For example, I needed to clamp a pocket knife with a full flat grind, meaning the clamp faces needed to seat flush with the face of the blade in order to apply adequate clamping force to enough surface area. I used the provided spare screws which are longer to accommodate for the thickness of the spine. Inadequate clamping results in your knife moving mid-stroke of the sharpener; I would recommend always triple checking your set screws as needed prior to the commitment of a sharpening session. So long as you have some attention to detail this clamp will prove sufficient. Also, by design it works well to center pocket knives with the sharpener. Highly recommend
