3cm Double Black Quartzite Swatch Card Polished Samples Slab

Exceeded My Expectations and One Tough Stone

The sample was full 3 cm thick to give a good idea of the slab. The edges on a full slab would, of course, have a polished facing edge too. I did a full lemon and oil test and the slab came through perfectly: no etching or staining AT ALL. This is definitely true quartzite and not a marble mismatch that can happen at lesser companies. In fact, I ran through the test again and left the lemon and oil on the surface a ridiculously long time (over 4 hours), and the Double Black still looks perfect. This product will not need sealing at all; it is so tough it probably would laugh in the face of any contractor who tried to seal it: it resists any invasion from spills or even sealers. Next (and I don't recommend this on anything but a sample), I did my crazy chop-chop test.. I used a kitchen knife to actually mimic my chopping onions and slicing bread on a pretend countertop [in real life, please use a cutting board no matter what]. Redult: no scratches, cuts or nicks. This is one super quartzite stone.. A perfect stone for kitchens and other stain-prone or "oops" locations.
