Really like this stove 4.5 stars; not for backpacking but good for car camping. Solid, efficient, functional robust build and very well packaged. My nit picks are that its a little on heavy side and smaller than I expected BUT very min smoke due to its excellent efficiency and min learning curve (can you can start a reg fire?). Essentially it works like an above ground “dakota fire hole”. So with it being above ground it makes its easier to insert wood (wood support stand included is very helpful). You can manage the heat output with the damper (lower door). I’m curious to see how it fairs with extended use and IF it rusts anywhere, which fire will do to anything metal except maybe aluminum. Its ok if it does rust a little, it just means you will have to maintain it a little after use and clean/spot lubricate. Overall great portable cooking fire that I have in the truck for base camp with RTT and also bugout purposes b/c it doesnt need fuel canisters etc. and has lower signature.
