From the Drop of Heaven

From the Drop of Heaven by Juliette Godot

I found this one hard to put down. It kept me wanting to find our what was going to happen next, and it was all set in a very detailed and well depicted Medieval setting during the time of the Inquisition. I kept wondering if life at that time could have been that difficult, but I knew that the author had done some very meticulous historical research and that the characters were actually based on her own European ancestors who lived in that period of time. Doesn't get much better than that, and I'd like to see a prequel or sequel!
