Very necessary if you live in Kansas. The wind here is... A LOT!! The rubber piece deters your garden flag from trying to slide off the bar in windy situations. BRILLIANT!

Unfortunately did not fit either of my standard garden flag poles, so I really question the universality that is advertised, but they do look like they are well made.

Well made. The thickness gives them a longer lasting period. They don’t crack easily and keeps the garden flag in place. I recommend them. They have worked well for me.
