Serious Step-Up in IC's

Second system cabled with older Transparent Ref and MIT IC's and SC's. Thought I'd try newer cable materials and designs to see (hear) if I was missing something. The Audio Art Cryo Copper IC's looked like a good upper tier value proposition so recabled system IC's - didn't have to listen long. Clear upgrade in resolution and dynamics while retaining smoothness, non-fatiguing sound of Transparent cables. Bigger surprise was much improved resoluton, soundstaging and ease-of-listening vs mid/high tier MIT XLRs. All at a far better price/performance ratio. If there's any one real test of new cables, it's whether they stay in your system. . . . . and you order more. I did both. By the way, in my 30+ yrs buying and enjoying audio gear (AR, Krell, Luxman, Ayre, Wilson etc) Rob Fritz at Audio Art is one of the most genuinely pleasant persons to work with.
