I have lived off grid for 28 years. REALLY OFF GRID. This unit allowed us to relocate our 24v freezer from the power shed to our house. 150 feet. We will loose a tiny amount of efficiency due to power conversion, but suck it up! If freezer is located in an insulated pantry, outdoors or accessible from dwelling, this will make your partner happy. Therefore you will be happy. Useful and odd valentine's day gift.
