Blacksmith handmade hooks; medium too large for axe mount

Beautiful, Viking looking handmade J hooks. Tips on medium are too large for 3/8 inch axe handle holes. Don't know if small hooks would fit. I am going to try drilling 7/16 hole on one axe. Think 1/2 inch might weaken handle too much/ not be astetically pleasing. Otherwise maybe a cord loop. Beautiful hooks.

The Hooks are Nice

The hooks are very nice, my only gripe is the description of the sizes, it is very unclear as to weather the given size, is size of the hook or the size of the stem or just what the measurements really connotate. As it turns out the measurement is in relation to the overall ht, fortunately the size of the hoop section worked out for me, but make the sizing more clearly stated in the description.
