Made in Japan. What does it mean??? We’ll let me tell you my friend. No bells, no whistles. No flashy bling or gilded lily’s. One might say basic. But if you lift the lid, pop the hood, scratch a little deeper under the surface you find something more. The best materials. The finest finishes. The most lovely details. In a word. Character. Now this is all well and good but there’s always a yang to the ying. Or ying to the Yang? Anyway. The downside to most of the pieces I have from Japan? The exquisitely exorbitant cost. This little wooden gem is no different. What your getting is a small piece of wood for around $60. Let that sink in. Do I love it? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes, Yes, and Yes.
