Not too difficult to replace

Had to replace the tail boom after contact with a bush snapped it in two. Replacement was not too difficult, though the retaining screw acted like it was stripped. If you have a bent or crimped boom, suggest using needle nose pliers to peel a short edge of the boom back to the crimp so you can extract the plug.

Boom design no bueno, but HeliDirect shines

The boom design on the S1 leaves a lot to be desired. The attachment points at both ends are weak and prone to failure if you crash a lot, like I do. So get yourself some spares and enjoy the excellent HeliDirect service.
