Too Vintage for its own good

Love love love these items, they are really cool and pretty BUT they aren't practical which means they aren't able to handle the heat in the kitchen!! One of the key factors with our pyrex/anchor hocking is the measuring cups are painted on. Eventually, they wash away in the dishwasher. A false hopeful expectation was that the Magnolia products could be functional and pretty. Unfortunately, it was only halfway achieved. They had the vibe but are more for display! You can't microwave or use with hot liquid and the 1 cup measurement is just for 1/4 measure not 1/3 measure which is just ok. Useful for cold but most of us mix temps on occasion with our measuring tools. It just missed the mark. Too bad, fantastic thought but execution left something to be desired. I bought several sets as gifts and now I'm bummed. I would have bought the actual vintage if they were just going to be sitting pretty on display !
