No GI issues
The Maurten GEL 100 went down pretty easily, it had a mildly sweet flavor but not overwhelming at all. I tested 2 for the first time on a 10 mile run and no GI issues at all. Expensive but a great product.

Gentle fuel
It seems to have worked well for me. It's definitely an acquired taste and texture, but that's hardly surprising with a gel.
