Nice shoes except size

I really was excited about these boots but had to exchange them for a bigger size to accommodate the thick Thorlo heavy weight socks. Being 7-1/2 shoe size, I originally ordered size 8, which was much too small. I exchanged them for a size 9, then realized it wasn't made for wide feet because my toes still feel squished in the bigger shoes. They're a nice shoe, just not made for wide feet.
