Perfect for my needs!

What an excellent introduction to these "American" saints! I appreciate the fly-over of the history of Orthodoxy that I hadn't really pulled together before. While I have heard of all these saints, I greatly appreciate having enough details of their lives to be inspired by their heroic examples. Truly puts our modern missionary struggles in perspective; yes, the Lord sent before us amazing trail-blazers! Thanks be to God!

Lots of history, not as much about individual's lives.

This book contains a lot of detailed history of the church in the new world. It does not have a great deal of detail about the individuals themselves.
