I am a professor who lives and works in a state that won’t allow discussions about diversity of any kind, and stickers like this keep me feeling empowered to have those conversations with my students and colleagues when appropriate. Perhaps it’s that my retirement is soon, but we still talk about race, class, gender, age, class and all the barriers faced by groups in our country. I believe we are all charged by whatever ethical, moral, or spiritual belief system we follow to do what is right, not what is easy. When I am discouraged and frustrated, this little sticker helps me do that.
