Dream Trip to Scotland… Shoes Disappointed

I bought these for a Fall trip to Scotland… they looked perfect - lightweight, waterproof, grippy soles. They are bulky, but I wore them on the airplane so didn’t need to pack them. As travel shoes, they were comfortable because they are lightweight, supportive, and roomy; they also worked well for city walking over cobblestones and uneven surfaces. The downside was that the tops are very tight - easy to take off, but so difficult to put on… I needed to carry a telescoping shoehorn with me at all times - impossible to put them on without a shoehorn. My biggest disappointment was the 100% waterproof claim. I was hiking through a boggy field and my foot sank in up to my ankle - not over the top of the shoe, but over the fabric part of the shoe. Water poured into my shoe. Ugh! It was terrible. I contacted the company when I returned and got no response from Customer Service. I definitely I have buyer’s remorse - these shoes/boots were expensive and did not live up to the hype. 😕

Return for me

Sorry but they are a return for me. The cost was enough, but more importantly they are near impossible to get on. I tried with and without socks, same problem. I’m going to Iceland and these boots looked perfect. Well made and they look like they would work but, near impossible even with a shoe horn. I cannot struggle every day. They are going back.

Comfortable, warm and dry!

Comfortable and my feet stayed dry on ice, snow and water. I am a half size and ordered up to a whole size. They visually looked too big, but when wearing, they were just fine. It was a little awkward when first putting them on, but the finger loop on the heel is a must have when putting them on. Overall, very happy with the quality and comfort!
