One stick was fine. The other drifts on wake up.
Both sticks were installed and calibrated within the Switch. I then restarted my Switch to make sure they worked. It is not necessarily a huge deal breaker, but the stick that I installed into the right joy-con drifts whenever the Switch is turned on. It's easily fixed by flicking to the right and the stick will work perfectly. It's still strange, though. Is there a reason for this?

Installation went really smoothly for me, just make sure you have good, small PH0 size screwdrivers along with the recommended tri bit. The power connector for one of my Joy-cons broke apart during disassembly, so use a non-metalic tool to pop those up instead of gently tugging on the wires like I had done. Oops! After installation I definitely needed to use the system settings to calibrate out some offset weirdness. After calibration I would say I'm happy with these, but I did notice that the "response" from center position out to the max in any given direction seems a bit less "linear" compared to stock sticks. These seem to have a little bit of exponential response or something like that - it took getting used to the difference, but not objectionable. Overall I think they'll breathe some life into handheld mode for a while as I await Switch 2.
