It looks really good, the wood engraving looks better than expected. The wood looks like protective. However I'm leaving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I've had a different case the same base, plastic part and it didn't protect my phone well so I'm a bit nervous about this one even though the wood seems more protective than said previous case (Pixel 5a)
