HP Designjet Z5400 Formatter & Hard Disk Drive E1L21-67017

A local company offered to fix my older Z5400 DesignJet for $3,500. They said for that type of money, I should just purchase a new plotter from them for around $7,500. Hmmm. I wasn't prepared for that. The Error code indicated my Formatter card and/or hard drive was defective. Tim had a part in stock, sent it out promptly, and I installed it. After installing it, the plotter booted back up and signaled I needed new printheads etc. I called Tim again about a few other nebulous error codes I was seeing and he talked me through a couple solutions. What is the point? For about $800 I had my plotter up and running with a new hard drive, formatter card and set of new printheads. Thanks Tim.
