I ordered this part for my mother's old standing reading lamp, and it just fit even though it was a little too tall; no matter, I didn't return it because other than my lack of measuring skills, the 3-inch fitter was flawless and gave off the right amount of light for the location I placed it in. It's lovely.

This chimney is well made , glaze is moderate and not too heavy a coverage and when placed on lamp emits a subdued glow. Fits well in lamp.
