Larger fit than expected

I LOVE Danskos and have been wearing them for decades. My latest purchase was perfect as always other than the fact that the sizing seems to have changed. I bought the same size as I always have, but they’re too large - even with socks. I’ve double and triple checked my order to make sure I bought the right size and I did. Not sure why the size change?
