Makes Lens Insertion a Breeze

I have always been able to get my lenses in after a few attempts with the DMV plunger, usually at least 3 attempts per eye, sometimes 10. With this, I try max twice. Usually I get it on the first go. I never have bubbles. It takes insertion time down from 20-30 minutes to 5 minutes. It is quite stable, no danger of it tipping over. It collapses, so it will come with me on trips just fine. It's cheap enough to buy two, one for home and one for a travel kit. A worthy investment.

DMV Scleral Stand

My eye lids droop and require two hands to pry them open for inserting scleral lens. Boston Sight provided me with a short white plastic stand which I was unable to find a replacement insertion plunger for. I tried the short stand with the plastic piece that looked like a Y. I broke it while assembling it. Plus, it was too short. For the DMV Scleral Stand, after I learned to check that the insertion plunger is centered, I have never had a bubble in my lenses. I find leveling the lens on the insertion plunger difficult. The stand is much sturdier than it looked in the photograph.
