Rosie Incense

This is my favorite of all the Blackbird fragrances. It is somehow universally sentimental. Everyone who has visited during or after I’ve burned it says it reminds them of something — from travels in China to their fashion-queen grandmother. I agree. It conjures memories as if by olfactory invocation. But it isn’t purely sentimental; it’s somehow both warm and light, oily and breezy, classic and modern, intense and diaphanous, contemporary and ancestral — like some sort of beautiful contradiction. Heavenly.
