My dad deployed to Afghanistan right after 9/11. When he got back he had some knives, some scarfs, and a couple of rugs that he hung on a wall in the house. A couple years later my oldest brother deployed to Afghanistan and came back with similar items, including an Afghan rug. After that it was my my next oldest brothers turn to bring democracy to the Afghan people. I ended up deploying about 9 months later and pour deployments overlapped by 3 days so we got some pictures together there. Unfortunately I didn’t pick up a rug while I was there and I always regretted it. As soon as I saw Kommando store had them in stock I didn’t hesitate to order it. Only odd thing is it has the dimension on the front. Overall it’s a really cool piece and I’m excited that I was finally able to get an Afghan war rug to hang on the wall next to my Army shadow box.
