Loved the "Pool Babies," but Disappointed by Durability and Support

We originally purchased two Sandy Beach Dolls for our daughters in June 2023. At first, we were thrilled. We took them everywhere, and they earned the nickname "Cool Pool Babies" from all the compliments and questions we received from other parents. They are a hit at the pool and the beach, and our girls truly loved them. ​However, for a $60 doll (plus $25 for shipping), the long-term quality hasn't matched the price point. We noticed the paint began cracking fairly early on. While we understood they are outdoor toys, the real disappointment came after just 1. 5 seasons of use. One doll fell less than two feet from our minivan hatch, and the foot cracked instantly. Upon inspection, it’s clear the plastic is significantly thinner around the toe area, which seems like a structural weak point for a toy designed for rugged outdoor use. ​When I reached out to the company to purchase a repair kit, I was told they only warranty items that arrive broken. It is frustrating that a premium toy has no path for repair or support once it’s out of the box, especially when a clear design flaw leads to the toy no longer working. ​We still have one doll in good condition, but now we’re stuck with two kids and only one working toy. At this price point, I expected more than a single-season lifespan. Unless there is a better way to handle damaged dolls or offer a loyalty discount for replacements, you might be better off buying a barbie doll every year and replacing it as needed.

My daughter loves her Sandy Doll! The quakity is top notch and all the accessories are too cute! She cant wait until we go to the beach fo olay with her! I know this beach toy will definitely be worth the money!

They are different we will see if they hold up this summer.
