Matera Glider Recliner

Worth the investment

Excellent quality chair that will be used for years to come. There was a bit of a delay in the shipping but Andrew was involved in making sure that we were taken care of- especially since I had been needing to upgrade to a recliner glider, due to neck and arm injuries sustained from a serious car accident and wanting to still nurse. Thank you Andrew for overseeing our order and even upgrading the delivery to the room or choice. We are so happy with our purchase

Manual recline is not good

This review is for the Matera Glider Recliner with the manual recline which I do not recommend. I chose the manual recline so I wouldn't need to plug the chair in. However, this was a big mistake. It is extremely difficult to close the footrest if you just had a baby and are holding a baby trying to get out of the chair. You have to precisely place your heels on the footrest and push exactly right. If you do not do this perfectly it will not close. Unfortunately I am really not able to do it while holding a baby and being post-partum, so I have to kick the footrest closed to get it to close. When I contacted customer support they sent me a video of a large man who was not postpartum closing the footrest as an example. When I sent a video of myself trying to do the same motion and failing to close the footrest they offered to video chat. A chair that is this expensive should not require a video chat tutorial to close the footrest.

Built very well

Beautiful chair. Built incredibly. I hope to have this chair in my home for long after baby.
