I am new to ice cream making and have become obsessed with this new hobby. I love that this book actually has flavors that kids and picky eaters will love! Fancy fru fru flavors are fine but we love flavors that sound and feature familiar ingredients! The base is flexible enough to use to create our own flavors with success. I recommend this of you are just starting out or a seasoned ice cream chef! It’s a great way to enhance your ice cream making skills!

I have been making a couple of Jeni's ice creams for years; I clipped a story in Saveur magazine ages ago. I finally bought the book as a special treat. I love the simplicity of the method, the fun, surprising flavors (I had never thought of celery ice cream, and it is fantastic!), the easy add-ins, the seasonal approach to ice cream. I am so happy! A must cookbook for anyone who likes to make unbelievable ice cream at home. Thank you, Jeni and team, for sharing your expertise.

A wonderfully thought out book
This book is packed with a wonderful variety of recipes and information. It's the perfect first book if you're looking to start out, or step out from the basics. I love that is focuses on how these are made with normal ice cream makers. No fancy equipment referenced or needed. My only critique is that I wish it had metric measurements, but I'd imagine that's a hamstrung choice by the publisher, not the author.
