These socks shed all over the place

The socks were very soft, but they instantly started shedding all over the place. Fuzz was literally all over my house, on the stairs, in the bathroom, swirling around in my kitchen. I instantly threw the socks out (about a week ago) and I'm still finding balls of fuzz. The Ugg brand should know better and do a better job of quality checking their products.
