sophisticated and useful gear
I will not comment about the experience using the new gear
but rather express my concern about paying it, receiving it, then using it and finally receiving an import extra tax that is almost the cost of the gear itself.
So, this is very annoying and disppointing to say the least

Functions as it should and it's a quality mount. I'd like to see the side opposite of the screw to be a bit thicker with integral threads so there isn't the big nut on the side. A bit pricey for what it is.

5 star design, 4 star execution
Love how this replaces the lower component of the mount. Very easy to install. Only issue is that the plastic seat for the locking nut isn’t wide enough to prevent it from rotating when tightening the mounting bolt from the other end. The only way to fix this is to slide a socket or wrench over the locking nut to get enough compression to keep your light or GoPro in a stable mounting position.
