I’ve used other bows for guitar, but this one really works and is absolutely amazing with a wide palette of unexpected creative variety.

Rosin is very sticky and gums up your strings! Not super into it.

I imagine you could get some fun sounds out of this, if you practice a fair bit and figured out how to make it not sound like a scratchy mess. The bow length is necessarily short so it fits in the guitar - this means you can't really play long notes effectively. Unfortunately though, there is a more serious problem - for me at least. In order for this bow to work it needs to be covered in Rosin. Sticky resin that allows the bow to catch hold of the string and make it vibrate. which is fine if the only thing that touches your instrument is a bow. If you use your fingers though... well you are quickly going to discover that the strings are now covered in sticky stuff. Yuck. Not a good feeling for a fingerstyle player. And definitely not something I want on my lovely fancy vintage guitar. Only suitable for a beater that you don't mind being covered in sticky gunk. It does make me want to take up the arpeggione or something similar though... ah well.
