Buffalo Trace Mash #1 Bourbon Barrel - Fresh Dumped, Once Used

Well Sealed! Only thing better would be still visibly wet.

Barrels shipped quickly. I was mildly concerned about them being able to hold liquid but they vented air when we got them (we are higher altitude) and held beer just fine. Smelled great! Only thing better would be if they were still visibly wet inside.

Cool Barrel, but dirty.

Love having the barrel. Cool to have and I’m overall pleased. I was however surprised how dirty the barrel was and how rusty the rings are. I’ll have to try and clean it up to be more presentable. Any tips?
