Lume Cube is amazing. The product quality is impressive, and the customer service is beyond wonderful. I have been in customer service for many years my expectations are high thank you for exceeing my expectations.

I’ve had a studio edge for awhile, and decided to get a second. It was a good decision. I also have Profoto strobes, but higher clean ISO cameras allow for continuous light to be easily used. My question was could flat panels be as soft for portraits as a soft box. The answer is yes since you can put flat panels close enough to the head to illuminate a broader area. The flat panels tend to relax an amateur subject better than large soft box’s, to say nothing of the ease in set up for portable lighting. Looking closely at the eyes in the photo you can observe the half setting of the panel on the left via the eye reflection. On the second closeup I chose to simply to a dongle highlight.

Portable

I like how light and portable. The remote is convenient. I will mostly be using this as a work light, but for shooting it would be nice if it was a bit brighter. Although I’m nit complaining this will probably just supplement with this. Use it for some accents or a convenient small size to sneak into tight spaces for practical lighting purposes.
