These bases were a great addition to the maxpower clamps that I already owned. These come with 5/16 x 18 threads on the shoulder bolts, so I had to run a bottoming tap in the maxpower clamps to allow the swivel bases to be installed. But after doing so, the bases threaded in nice and tight and allow the clamp to swivel and be placed in the optimal position.
