What a difference!

I didn’t really expect there to be a significant change but my headphone amp sounds the best it ever has with the Master fuse.

Outstanding fuse, but overpriced

I bought a new DAC, and I wanted the best fuse I could afford. I hesitated with the Audio Magic Master M1, which I have in my Naim amp. I don't regret my purchase, but I'm bitter about the price SR is asking for it. Therefore, I'm not going to give this fuse top marks. Quite simply, because it is exorbitantly priced, for no economic reason whatsoever. It's just marketing : "the price the market is prepared to accept". Synergistic Research could sell it for $300, and make a good living out of it. I think the SR Master Fuse is better than the Audio Magic M1, it's more holographic (3D sound is really impressive), more detailed, the clarity is amazing, there is more extension top and bottom. But is it worth doubling the price of the AM Master M1? It's your money, it's up to you.
