These Tires rock!
I’ve put over a hundred miles on this tire set so far, and for reference, I’m riding a Pivot Shuttle AM weighing about 48 pounds. I purchased the gravity casing and installed without the Cush Core xc I had with the Maxxis Minion set. I’m running lower pressures (27F 25R) and have had absolutely no rim issues or pinches even in the ragged chunk. I’ve ridden on hard, loose over hard, wet, hero dirt and super chunky terrain with all kinds of rock, shark teeth, rollers, steep rolls, steps, drops and jumps. These tires performed incredibly well! I wasn’t too sure about the slightly thinner 2.4, compared to Maxxis, but my doubts were quickly erased, as the tire has effortlessly tracked through just about all I can throw at it! Even when the bike was drifting, the tires would be grabbing and keeping me moving forward, helping me to build my trust in the tread. They also seem to roll quite well. After over a hundred miles I don’t see anywhere near the wear on the tread that I was seeing with the minions it came stock with, and as I stated, I’ve been riding on everything and riding hard! The gravity casing is pretty darn bullet proof, as one of my last rides was on a ton of sharp, chunky rock that would merely rub the casing. If anything, these tires gripped a little too much on the trail, picking up a chunk and hammering my shin, as I was ripping through a corner, lol! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE TIRES! I initially reached out with questions, and my guy was great and even helped out with a discount I was having issues with! I’m curious to see how long the life span will be, but as of now, I am definitely going to be sticking with Versus! One last note: the blue splatter looks absolutely awesome against the bright blue frame!
