Inconsistent sizing

I already own the white in medium. It fits perfectly for me and can be tucked or untucked. Then I got this one, medium, and I'm practically swimming in it. Not sure how the sizing can be so disparate.

Mother of all OCBDs. It has that timeless look yet has the modern approach of versatility and movement. Its very stretchy. It does run a little baggy on the midsection even though its already on the trimmer side. I wish the V taper was a little more exaggerated.
