The jury is still out. I opted to use metal clamps for most fitting because I trust them, but used a couple of these in areas where it was difficult to reach a nut driver to tighten or loosen metal clamps. These installed very easily I am guessing that these work and will not allow hoses to leak because Spa Depot sells quality products. I am waiting for the weather to get above freezing before filling the tub to test the hose joints.

Save your money and use another type of clamp. These are not very tight.
