Wearable area is smaller than listed

What is listed as the 'wearable area' is actually the total length of the plug, with a significant 2mm flare that ends in a sharp point where it meets the face of the plug. Unless you have very thin ears, I recommend getting the larger wearable area. Make sure your ears are well stretched to wear these as they will be difficult to get in.
