Learning with our new leash

My dog and I are enjoying our new leash. It is solid and durable, and I expect we’ll have it for a long time. I love the height of the safety handle: it’s short enough that I can keep him close, but not so short that I am forced to pull on his color to hold onto it (measured and thought about the right placement more than a few times). He can chose to strain at the leash when I use it, but he doesn’t have to strain. We have a 8ft leash, and we’ve tried it a number of ways: tie a knot in the middle to shorten it, loop the leash through the handle so that the leash itself becomes a belt, give him lots of slack during training, let the leash fall to the ground (hard to lose as it’s thicker than the flat leash) during training. My friend and I have lots to learn together, and the leash is a versatile tool. There was helpful communication over email as I clarified what I wanted and figured out how to specify what I thought I wanted. Pleased!!!
