CK-70R Ohana Solid Spruce Rosewood Concert Ukulele

The Chana is a finely crafted instrument. It has been skilfully and beautifully put together. The frets are evenly balanced and I detect no sharp edges on either flanks along the fretboard. The playability is awesome. I believe Chris has spun his magic on it prior to shipment. Action is nicely adjusted on the low side. Tone is good. Notes come out clean and with some sustain. This is a lovely uke, intuitively it looked right and seemed well constructed, the shell rosette gives it an elegance. I chose it because i wanted a solid top and after discussions with Chris he was clear it would meet my needs, i instrument which with had intonation and clarity as i wished to play a lot of chords 😄 Although i am new to ukes, after 50 years of guitar i started playing single lines (melodies and improvisation) with my thumb nail, its clear as bell, the instruments responds well to fingerpicking (with nails) and it has a slight 'classical sound' and also is great for rhythm as it is clean and cuts through among the other ukes in a group It's so nice i bought for my daughter as well a couple of days of playing The service i received is second to none and i am now waiting for another Ohana with pickup to arrive. Being a fussy musician, i appreciate people who care about the quality of instruments going out the door and it is far more sensible to purchase from an expert on the instrument instead of just buying from a music shop where its hit'n'miss and dont understand the nuances of an instrument Happy customer
