I'm in love with my mantel! The day after I made the purchase I got an email that it was going into production and 11 days later it was at my doorstep. I wish I could share the experience of hanging it but I hired someone to do it and since I didn't hear any complaints, I assume all went smoothly. The mantel was exactly as I pictured it and I always love it when I'm able to buy products made in the U.S.A. I highly recommend this company.

Okay - I'll start with the positive - they're customer service is fantastic. The product, however, is not. Save your money. I had originally ordered this in aged oak and called to exchange it because the stain was bot aged oak but more natural and I didn't think the product was finished because of how poorly jt was assembled. I exchanged it for provincial and I got the same poor piece of work in a stain that is again, not renotely what it looks like online. There is nothing handcrafted about this or rustic looking unless you think that rustic means making 3 notches equidistant apart on the upper edge. The edges are crip, not rounded like a rustic, worn, beam should look. There was absolutely no craftsmanship involved here and you can easily get better quality at a cheaper price elsewhere. Looking at two examples now, I can confirm that what they claim as their process, and how they say they are handcrafted by expert furniture makers, can not possibly be accurate. Honestly, even though it's real wood, its cheap, poor quality wood and even if you have no experience, you could pick up two 1x6×12' pine boards at home depot and make this yourself - it would be better built and cost less than $50. I'm returning both of the mantles I recieved. If you do decide to order, here is my advise: be careful of the color you choose - what you get will appear nothing like they do online. While the colors represented online match the traditional Aged Oak, Provincial, etc. stains (these are standard shades of stain), it is not what they apply. They blend stains for their own proprietary versions of the standard colors. Aged Oak looks natural , untainted. Their blend for provincial looks more like dark walnut. Also, the stains are applied unevenly and mine even had the outline of something that was set on the stain before it dried. I'm shocked that there are so many 5 star reviews. This product is, to be blunt, poorly made junk.
