Doesn't matter if Grade B or Grade A, both extract the same & make a great pure vanilla. 1oz. Vanilla Bean & 8 oz. alcohol (vodka is a great choice). Slice beans lengthwise cut into 1/2" pieces, drop into your alcohol & you'll have a delicious usable pure vanilla in about 4 month
