Great Fruity Citrus Opening — Would Love a Cleaner Drydown

Lightning Rod has one of the most unique openings I’ve found in a cologne. Right away I get bright lemon and a fruity cereal/cherry vibe that smells energetic, fun, and genuinely different from the typical “men’s cologne” profile. It’s refreshing to see a company experimenting with sweeter, more playful scents instead of the usual heavy musk or overpowering woods. The scent also has impressive longevity and definitely lasts throughout the day. My only constructive feedback is that, on my skin chemistry at least, the drydown changes over time and loses some of that crisp, clean citrus character that makes the opening so addictive. I’d love to see future versions keep more of those fresh top notes present deeper into the wear. Overall, I’m really glad companies like Fable Beard Co. are exploring this kind of fragrance profile, and I’d absolutely be interested in trying refinements or future releases in the same direction.

Did not smell good

I did one little spray just to test the waters, And every time I got a whiff, it made me sick every time. Very disappointed. :(
