This is real copper. Tried it with a very strong magnet & it didn't stick to it. If its steel coated in copper the magnets stick to the metal. It's unavoidable not to pull it apart putting it on or taking it off so I do hope it doesn't break. Very nice Celtic design on it. Beautifully boxed & presented so will make a lovely gift for someone too.
