Mephisto Phoenix M - Chess Computer with 15.7 inch Chess Board

The best chess set you can buy. This is clearly a firstclss chess set, from the packaging to the board to the computer module. This is my second millennium board and I am happy with both, but the Mephisto Phoenix is clearly the best board available for learning, for challenging play for online play. Impressive

I've always favored chess computers that had a board and pieces. It is simply more engaging than playing chess on a computer screen. My history with chess computers goes all the way back to "Boris" in the mid 1970s. I've owned probably 15 or more over the years. The Mephisto Phoenix is the ultimate evolution of a stand-alone chess playing machine. The perfect piece recognition is mandatory for the best experience and the Phoenix does it flawlessly and immediately. The power of the brain is basically astronomical. It can beat any human on the planet and practically every other chess program in existence. What more could a chess lover want? I think for the money, it is a great piece of technology and currently in my opinion, is the best chess playing experience possible with a stand-alone machine. I LOVE this thing and play it several times a week. I'm still learning my way around and haven't done a lot with the retro section. That is something for the future. Nevertheless, if you want endless hours of chess fun, this is the ultimate way to achieve it. I happily give it the highest recommendation.

Very nice and beautiful.the touch screen module is superb.my only problem is that it doesn't save games.
