Sorry to say this but stop using your dads paste wax or if you insist i suggest you sacrifice extra time to top coat with Ultra Power Lock +. I use Jescar Ultra Lock + for every boat that I detail with a 100% success rate. Last the longest even without proper routine maintenance. For best results it should be maintained by ph balanced soap cleaning and a sealant boost or gloss rejuvenating detail spray and microfiber wipe down. It makes these routine washing much more efficient and effortless than any other sealant. The application is even easier than anything else in its class. Super recommended by a professional boat detailer. My go to sealant and honestly I've tried most. Can be applied very quickly with a DA and foam finishing pad or even better a microfiber pad. I let it set for an hour than microfiber wipe and polish off the remaing excess. Which is usually very minimal effort. Especially compared to traditional waxes. You won't ne disappointed!
